Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Field Applications Specialist for the Northeast region. The role is remote-based with strong collaboration with Sales, Service, and customers to drive adoption and satisfaction of Leica solutions. Travel up to 75% and occasional international travel may be required.

The ideal candidate has a histology or pathology background, experience in instrument implementations, and customer training. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of Histology, Anatomic Pathology, Laboratory Automation, or related laboratory marketplace.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical applications issues, train customers, and support laboratory workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Service teams to support regional revenue growth and successful adoption of Leica Biosystems solutions.
• Lead instrument installations, evaluations, validations, workflow optimization activities, and customer onboarding.
• Provide expert applications support, troubleshooting, and training to improve laboratory performance.
• Investigate and resolve technical applications issues in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying customer needs and documenting issues for product/workflow enhancements.
