Job summary

Leica Biosystems is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair diagnostic solutions across a remote, territory-based role. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to maximize instrument uptime and support reliable diagnostic workflows, delivering exceptional customer service.

The position requires up to 90% travel by air or road, with a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a technical field; Associates Degree preferred.
• Foundational mechanical, electrical, electronic, laboratory, biomedical, or instrumentation troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams while learning to operate independently in a field-based service environment.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on Leica Biosystems instruments to help ensure optimal instrument performance and customer uptime.
• Assist in delivering a high-quality customer experience through effective communication, timely follow-up, and adherence to Leica Biosystems quality and compliance standards.
• Partner with Field Service Engineers, technical support, applications, and commercial teams to resolve technical issues and support reliable diagnostic workflows.
