Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking an onsite Teller in Hanover, PA to deliver exceptional customer service while processing transactions accurately. You will educate customers on digital tools, manage lobby flow, and balance cash with adherence to bank policies.

The role includes handling AML/KYC tasks, maintaining records, and supporting branch operations, with a focus on a friendly, compliant customer experience. The position requires high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 6 months customer service experience
• Proven verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
• Well-organized with strong time management
• Proficient with internet user-level technology
• Bilingual based on branch needs (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities
• Actively engage in lobby management, greet customers, and address immediate needs
• Accurately balance and process customer transactions following Bank Policy
• Own escalated account service issues until resolution and log complaints
• Transition identified sales opportunities to the appropriate banking partner
• Perform branch operations such as cash ordering, vault, ATM, and wire transfers
• Process customer/account maintenance and AML/KYC related activities
• Adhere to compliance and risk controls and support the M&T Bank brand
