Job summary

M&T Bank Dunkirk branch is seeking a customer-focused teller to provide exceptional service at the counter and in the lobby. You will assist customers with transactions, explain digital self-service options, and identify opportunities to connect them with banking partners.

The role requires strong communication, basic data entry, and the ability to stand for long periods while handling cash and performing routine maintenance of accounts. Competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Proven verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer service standards and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
• Educate customers via shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and promote self-service options.
• Actively engage in lobby management and greet customers while addressing immediate needs.
• Accurately balance and process transactions following Bank Policy.
• Resolve escalated account issues and log complaints in the system.
• Transition sales opportunities to the appropriate banking partner.
• Complete branch operations including cash ordering, vault, ATM, and wire transfers.
• Process customer/account maintenance and AML/KYC activities.
