Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment and production support, while staying close to code and technical decisions.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate delivery across time zones, and partner with product owners, architects, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into achievable delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience with leading project teams or delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React and guiding full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Strong SDLC knowledge, CI/CD, containers, testing, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, distributed teams, stakeholder coordination.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, debugging, and PoCs.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and frontend frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and releases.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and provide coaching.
• Partner with product owners, architects, DevOps, security, operations, and clients to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; address impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven/data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink as needed.
