Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to code and technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, manage dependencies and risks, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and resolving complex engineering issues.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, Angular or React, databases, and cloud-native patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, estimation, coordination, demonstrations, and release readiness.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams with clear ownership and timely decisions.
• Mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, quality engineering, DevOps, security, and clients to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress and elevate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness across lifecycle.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
