Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with leadership and delivery accountability. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while staying close to code and technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, and translate business requirements into achievable delivery plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience with leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks (Angular or React) and full-stack guidance.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Experience with CI/CD, container deployments, testing, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, release planning.
• Experience leading distributed teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architectures (Kafka) and observability tooling.
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Flink for data processing.
• Ability to manage delivery risks, production issues, and client communications; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across all lifecycle stages.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and proof-of-concepts.
• Guide solution design with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern UI.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery including sprint planning, estimation, and demos.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical coaching and career guidance.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to translate requirements into plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress.
• Promote secure development, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink when needed.
