Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support, while mentoring engineers and coordinating across time zones.

You will work with Java/Spring Boot, RESTful services, microservices, and modern UI frameworks, plan Agile delivery, and ensure secure, observable, and scalable solutions in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience with leadership of project teams or delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding experience with Java and Spring Boot, microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React and ability to guide full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, container deployments, testing, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking.
• Experience leading distributed teams across geographies with stakeholders.
• Mentorship and coaching skills to raise engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and complex issue resolution.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks.
• Plan Agile delivery, refine backlog, plan sprints, estimate, and manage releases.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and ensure clear ownership.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, and career development discussions.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics, escalations with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions with Kafka/Hadoop/Spark/Flink when required.
