Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while staying close to code and technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product owners, architects, and client stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience, including leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
Experience with Angular or React and guiding full-stack engineering decisions.
Experience deploying on a major cloud platform and working with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with asynchronous/event-driven architectures like Apache Kafka.
Experience with logging/monitoring/observability tools such as Splunk.
Experience leading distributed teams across multiple locations and traveling up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and complex engineering issues.
Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern UI frameworks.
Plan and manage Agile delivery including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and demos.
Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams; ensure clear ownership and timely decisions.
Mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, and career development conversations.
Partner with product owners, architects, quality engineering, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders.
Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress and surface impediments.
Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
Support data-processing solutions using Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink when required.
