Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our food service team. The role reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor and involves setting up meal trays, assisting with serving, and supporting dishwashing and kitchen cleanliness throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include learning the routine quickly, following recipes, and maintaining sanitary work areas. A food handlers’ certificate is required and ongoing training is provided to ensure smooth operation in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to interpret instructions from managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Check and record water temperatures and chlorine concentration in dishwashing area.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; carry out trash disposal and grocery storage.
• Participate in training of dietary staff and cooperate with all departments.
