Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support meal service in our kitchen. The role reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor and requires the ability to learn routines quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain kitchen cleanliness.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, checking dishwashing water temperatures, recording chlorine levels, preparing nourishments, stocking groceries, and supporting training of dietary staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher.
• Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and floors; maintain sanitary conditions.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
• Carry out trash disposal and groceries stocking.
