Job summary

PACS is seeking a dietary aide to assist in the kitchen and dining areas. The role involves setting up meal trays, serving meals, cleaning dishes, and ensuring a sanitary work environment under the supervision of the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain a food handlers’ certificate. Strong reading, organizational, and communication skills are essential to follow recipes and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Strong reading and communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas.
• Check and record dishwasher chlorine concentration and water temperature.
• Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and floors; sweep and mop as needed.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
