Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, everyday vehicle systems, and HVAC components. The role includes on-site and road service, with a focus on safety and efficiency, supporting our drivers in routine routes.

The candidate should have 3-5 years in a technician role or a recent automotive tech school graduate, with ASE certifications being a plus and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Basic understanding of labor time standards per work orders.
• Experience with Classes 1-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships is preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Perform chassis, brake, and suspension work with safety in mind.
• Safely provide road service to return equipment to operation.
