Job summary
Republic Services seeks a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including engine, chassis, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems. This role supports drivers, services state-of-the-art vehicles, and offers training and career growth.
Under supervision, you will diagnose multi-system issues, perform advanced repairs, and participate in company training programs while contributing to community service and safe operations.
Qualifications
- Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks (5-7 years).
- Ability to perform inspections and repairs with limited supervision.
- ASE Heavy Truck certifications are a plus but not required.
- CDL experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems.
- Chassis component repair and maintenance.
- Engine repair and diagnostics.
- Complete understanding of diesel fuel systems and diagnostics.
- Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems repairs.
- HVAC diagnostics and repair.
- Aftertreatment systems diagnostics and repair.
- Electrical diagnostics with scan tools.
- Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
