Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems. You will work under supervision, supporting our fleet and drivers with on-site and on-road servicing.
The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics with electronic tools, and ongoing training in new technologies.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Experience with maintenance on Classes 1-5 and heavy-duty trucks or equivalent training.
- ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and repair maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.
- Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, braking and electrical systems.
- Perform light engine repair, suspension, drivetrains, and HVAC maintenance.
- Provide safe road service and troubleshoot malfunctions with electronic tools.
- Complete required company training and adhere to safety standards.
