Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose and repair multi-system issues on diesel and gasoline trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics and HVAC. You will perform preventative maintenance, repair work, and on-road service to keep our fleet running smoothly.

The role requires 3-5 years in a technician position or a recent automotive school graduate, CDL access is a plus, ASEs are beneficial, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 3-5 years in technician role diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with Classes 1-8 trucks or equivalent equipment is preferred.
• ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment, on-site or on-road.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, hydrauic/electrical systems, brakes and HVAC.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete company training.
• Provide road service when needed to return equipment to operation safely.
• Adhere to company policies; participate in ongoing training and development.
