Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, HVAC, suspension and drive train. The role supports drivers by keeping vehicles in top condition and offers opportunities for training in new technologies.

The position requires 3–5 years of technician experience or recent graduation from an automotive program, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3–5 Years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair or graduating from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventive and repair maintenance.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Safely provides road service to ensure equipment is returned to operation safely and efficiently.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete company training programs.
