Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components; refuse bodies, control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; air brake systems; general engine work; HVAC components; and suspension, drive train and steering systems.

This role supports drivers with state-of-the-art equipment and a stable work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues across heavy trucks.
• Experience maintaining heavy-duty trucks with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in electrical systems and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems for complex repairs, on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and braking systems maintenance and diagnostics.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Fuel systems diagnostics and repairs.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems work.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Aftertreatment systems diagnostics and REGEN.
• Electrical diagnostics with scan tools.
• Line maintenance and welding/fabrication.
• Identify malfunction sources using diagnostic tools.
• Complete required Company training.
