Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced diesel/medium-heavy duty truck technician to diagnose and repair fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. The role requires adherence to state and federal trucking regulations and thorough documentation of repairs.
The position includes road call availability, hands-on maintenance, preventive maintenance, and training of other staff.
Competenze
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs and electrical troubleshooting.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in A/C refrigeration.
Mansioni
- Complete and perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment, inspections, and repairs.
- Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and major components for proper operation.
- Ensure regulatory licensing and roadworthiness of equipment.
- Document work orders and repairs in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and lubrication using hand and power tools.
- Train other employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
