Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking a diesel fleet technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers and reefer units. You will perform preventative maintenance, identify root causes, and ensure compliance with trucking regulations while documenting all work orders in the online system.

Road call service is required as needed. The role offers a 4-day work week, competitive hourly pay, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, tool and boot allowances, and day-one benefits,

Qualifikationen

• 5-7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Aufgaben

• Complete preventive maintenance and basic repairs on fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes and performing repairs as required.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms and wheel bearings for proper operation and replace parts as needed.
• Ensure licensing and registration are current prior to roadworthiness.
• Document work orders and repairs in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers; perform routine maintenance and use hand and power tools as needed.
• Train other employees and perform related duties as assigned.
