Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced diesel fleet technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, and document all work in the system while responding to road calls as needed.

The role requires 5–7 years of relevant repair experience, strong diagnostic skills, and knowledge of PMs, brakes, and refrigeration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 5–7 years of proven medium-heavy vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tires, air/air disc brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and critical components for roadworthiness.
• Ensure licensing/registration compliance prior to road use.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand and power tools to complete repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks.
• Train other employees.
