Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units, ensuring roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of fleet repair experience, including PMs, brakes, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration. A 4-day work week is offered with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and Day 1 benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect braking systems, steering, bearings and related components for proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of tools/equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
