Job summary

Performance Foodservice, part of Performance Food Group, is seeking a skilled Diesel/Heavy-Duty Truck Technician in Massachusetts. You will diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty fleet equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure roadworthiness while documenting work orders and maintaining onboard systems.

The role requires 5–7 years of related repair experience and at least 2 years in A/C refrigeration, with opportunities for training and growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair
• Minimum 2 years' experience in A/C refrigeration

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and diagnose/repair components
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and replace parts as needed
• Ensure roadworthy licensing/registration for equipment
• Document work orders and repairs in the Enterprise Asset Management system
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
• Use hand and power tools to maintain equipment
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and lubrication
• Train other employees
• Other related duties as assigned
