Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Massachusetts to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will document work orders, ensure roadworthy licensing, and perform road calls as needed, collaborating closely with a team.

The role requires 2+ years of repair experience, knowledge of electrical diagnostics, and experience with A/C refrigeration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, diagnosis, electronic component repair, and A/C refrigeration.
• Experience reading and interpreting diagnostics and performing electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to document repairs and PMs in the online system and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration for roadworthiness.
• Document all work orders and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical components for safe operation.
• Perform routine maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Perform road call services as needed.
• Handle other related duties as assigned.
