Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled diesel/heavy-duty truck technician. You will diagnose and repair medium to heavy‑duty trucks, perform preventative maintenance, inspect critical systems, and document work orders with our fleet management system.

You may be required to perform road call services and ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations. The role supports a safety‑conscious, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of proven medium- to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including PMs, tire & wheel, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units) and diagnose basic failures.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and other critical systems for proper operation.
• Ensure roadworthy status and proper licensing/registration before operation.
• Document all repairs and PMs in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace and repair onboard computers.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
