Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC) seeks a Service Advisor to greet customers, coordinate repair requests, and estimate repair costs within guidelines. You will support the Service Manager with warranty documentation, repair order filing, and shop scheduling to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.

You will interact with shop foremen, managers, and customers, promoting additional services and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• CDL (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in related field.
• Strong customer relations and communication skills.
• Good leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly manner and coordinate repair requests.
• Estimate repair costs within guidelines and prepare repair orders.
• Assist Service Manager with clerical duties (warranty, policy settlements, filing).
• Coordinate repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Advise customers on needed service work and suggest additional labor or body shop work when appropriate.
• Input repair order information into data processing system and close orders.
• Maintain shop tools and supplies and inform of shortages.
• Ensure timely action and resolve disputes related to warranty or labor sales.
• Participate in training to stay current on technical and warranty issues.
• Maintain a clean shop and office area.
