Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II to perform shop duties, repairs on trailer refrigeration, and routine preventive maintenance. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, read manuals, and perform unsupervised repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Trade schooling in heavy‑duty diesel repairs and/or refrigeration is preferred.
• 2+ years of diesel repairs, tractor‑trailer, refrigeration maintenance experience.
• ASE PMI certification or eligibility within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Diagnose, repair, and tune up diesel engines and related systems.
• Read service bulletins and technical manuals; maintain shop tools.
• Complete paperwork and input data into company systems.
• Work independently and in a team while following safety rules.
