Job summary

Penske is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on a diverse fleet at the Columbia, TN location. You'll work with experienced supervisors to learn Penske's maintenance processes and gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic tools.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined with 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience or recent training. Penske offers comprehensive training, career growth, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in vehicle repair.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, incl. basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component lubrication/replacement on gas/diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills through technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
