Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will help customers keep vehicles safe and on the road while learning Penske’s maintenance processes and certification programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies; DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance to ensure safety for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technology; perform basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Conduct preventative maintenance like tire replacement/rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel vehicles.
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills via Penske’s training and coaching.
• Take on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
