Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co. is seeking a skilled Technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose issues, use Penske tools, and ensure vehicles remain safe and reliable on the road.

You will work with experienced supervisors and gain access to industry-certified training, with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires willingness to learn and strong teamwork in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies (DOT/OSHA).
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to diagnose and complete repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication/ replacement, some electrical and cooling system work.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training programs.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
