Job summary

Penske is seeking an Experienced Vehicle Technician for our Dayton, OH location. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, diagnose issues, and complete service tasks to keep our fleet safe and on the road.

You will work with a team, use advanced maintenance technologies, and participate in Penske’s Technician Certification Program, designed to enhance skills through structured training and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience in vehicle maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs; basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
