Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a qualified Technician in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, with training opportunities and a path for growth.

You will work with experienced supervisors, using Penske’s advanced tools and safety standards to keep vehicles reliable and on the road. Strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT requirements.
• Willingness to learn and follow Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Doing preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
