Job summary

Penske in Middlefield, OH is seeking a Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet with independence and mentorship from experienced techs. You’ll stay current with vehicle maintenance processes and use advanced diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance and drug screening may apply.
• Willing to travel within the district as necessary.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to keep customers on the road.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers with little supervision.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, and related components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and participate in certification programs.
• Assist with additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
