Job summary

Penske is seeking an experienced Technician II in Middlefield, OH to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, service, and repair major components, working independently and mentoring newer technicians.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and OEM training
• Experienced using tools of the trade (including diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools)
• The driver qualification file and DOT safety requirements are part of the role

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little supervision
• Repairing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems
• Keeping the work area clean and safe
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Learning Penske’s technician training and applying it on the job
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
