Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in Kent, WA is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across a diverse fleet. You’ll work with minimal supervision, log repairs, and mentor newer technicians while expanding your skills under experienced leaders at Penske.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and quality workmanship with access to advanced diagnostic tools and Penske’s training programs.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and provide good customer service.
• Able to work well as part of a team and follow safety policies (DOT, OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose issues using basic vehicle diagnostics and Penske tools.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, and related components.
• Keep work area clean and safe; comply with safety policies.
• Log and research repairs using Penske’s systems and tools.
• Learn through Penske technician training and mentorship.
• Work on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
