Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Technician II to maintain and repair a diverse fleet. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and major/minor repairs with modern tools, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

You’ll diagnose problems, log work, and complete repairs with limited supervision while learning Penske’s maintenance processes. A valid driver’s license and DOT/OSHA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Specialized training in engines, transmissions and differentials; ASE/CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and perform repairs.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log and complete repairs and basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and mentor others.
• Support other projects as assigned by supervisor.
