Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Hartford, CT to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work with advanced diagnostic tools and receive hands-on coaching as part of Penske’s training programs.

The role offers a second shift with a starting pay of $28.00/hr, plus a $3.00 shift premium and a $2.00 CDL incentive where applicable. There is a strong emphasis on safety and career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools; safety procedures must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication and replacement on gas/diesel engines.
• Collaborate with manager and participate in Penske technician training.
• Take on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
