Job summary

Penske in Hartford, CT is seeking an automotive technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will help customers keep their vehicles safe and on the road while learning Penske’s maintenance processes and certifications.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of repair experience. Valid license and strong customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to use tools and solve problems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication; some electrical and cooling system work.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
