Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician in Delaware, OH to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll diagnose, service, and keep vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition while working with a team of experienced supervisors and master technicians.

This 2nd shift position (Sunday–Thursday, 3:00pm–11:30pm) includes a $2.00 per hour shift premium and extensive on‑the‑job training through Penske’s Certification Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety, DOT, OSHA policies.
• Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screen, and travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance—tires, lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work.
• Learn new skills via technician training and coaching.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
