Job summary

Penske is seeking a Technician in Waterbury, CT to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work with modern tooling and Penske’s maintenance processes, learning from master technicians while prioritizing safety.

The role offers a Tuesday‑Friday shift 3:00pm–11:30pm and Saturday 6:00am–2:30pm, with starting pay $26.50/hr plus $3 second shift differential and a $2 CDL incentive (if applicable). Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and component lubrication, and some electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
