Job summary

Penske makes maintenance fast and reliable at our West Haven location. As a Technician II, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers, logging work with Penske tools and diagnostics.

You'll work independently while mentoring newer techs and collaborating with a skilled team to keep customers on the road. Our program emphasizes safety, continuous training, and access to cutting‑edge maintenance technology.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components; ASE Certification and 608/609 preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Performing preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Repairing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials, and related components.
• Keeping the work area clean and safe.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies for diagnostics and repairs.
