Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician I to join our team. You will perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs, with opportunities to advance under supervision. The role includes documenting work, maintaining safety, and supporting shop operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Do light to heavy repairs as assigned.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Document work and parts used on Repair Orders.
• Communicate with Shop Manager for estimates and approvals.
• Follow safety, health and environmental policies.
