Job summary

Cox Fleet is actively seeking a Shop Diesel Technician II to support ongoing maintenance for our fleet services. The role focuses on DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and both light and heavy repairs to diesel trucks and trailers.

You will work in a dynamic shop environment, performing diagnostics and repairs under supervision, with opportunities to advance your practical skills and certification attainment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years in related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; safe driving record.
• DOT inspections and preventative maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy-duty repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Document work and parts used; complete RO entries promptly.
• Coordinate with Service Writer for customer needs and estimates.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and tool/equipment condition.
• Travel occasionally to customer locations as needed.
