Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum 1 year experience or completion of trade school.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• General repairs and PM criteria knowledge.
• Heavy truck repairs knowledge with diesel engine systems diagnostics.
• Ability to keep up with changing technology and updates.
• Mechanical interest in engines, electronics and precision equipment.
• Ability to lift and work in awkward positions; 70 lbs. plus.
• Valid CDL and acceptable MVR if driving on public roads.
• CDL holder must be registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Must be self-starting and organized.
• Willing to work any shift including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents per FMCSA and regulations.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain attendance as required.
• Be able to perform other duties as assigned.
