Job summary

Estes Express Lines is hiring the right technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. You will inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include interpreting work orders/manuals, replacing defective parts, and testing equipment to meet manufacturer specifications and regulations. Flexibility for shifts and a strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum 1 year experience and/or trade school, or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Know general repairs and PM criteria.
• Heavy truck repairs knowledge in a commercial environment; diesel engine diagnostics.
• Ability to adapt to changing technology and updates.
• Mechanical interest in engines, electronics and precision equipment.
• Ability to lift ~70 lbs and work in awkward positions.
• Valid CDL and FMCSA considerations if driving.
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Self-starting and organized.
• Willing to work nights/weekends and varied weather; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and FMCSA compliance documentation.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
