Job summary

Estes Express Lines is hiring at all levels of skills and experience, determining pay accordingly. Responsibilities include repairs and maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and forklifts, inspection and diagnostics, safety inspections, and compliance with FMCSA regulations.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, 17+ years old, and either one year of experience or trade school completion. A CDL and ability to lift 70 lbs are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Must have one year of experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repairs including diesel engine system diagnostics.
• Ability to adapt to changing technology and updates.
• Mechanical interest in engines/electronics/precision equipment.
• Ability to lift and work in awkward positions.
• Valid CDL and acceptable MVR required if driving; FMCSA Drug/Alcohol Clearinghouse registration if CDL holder.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Strong work ethic and problem solving.
• Willing to work any shift including nights/weekends; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and service equipment.
• Perform FMCSA safety inspections and prepare required safety documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure manufacturer specifications and regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
