Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a skilled diesel technician to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on trucks and forklifts. You will inspect, diagnose, and service equipment to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance.

The role requires reading manuals, using hand tools and test equipment, and adapting to changing technology. A valid CDL is beneficial, with the ability to lift heavy loads and work varying shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent background
• Must be 17+ years of age
• Minimum of one year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience
• Able to use hand tools and test equipment
• Must have own tools
• Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria
• Heavy truck repairs knowledge including diesel engine diagnostics
• Adaptable to changing technology and updates
• Mechanical interest in engines, electronics and precision equipment
• Able to lift ~70 lbs and work in varying conditions

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs and regulations
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
