Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a diesel technician to perform repairs, maintenance, and safety inspections on diesel engines, trucks and forklifts. You will interpret work orders and manuals and ensure work meets manufacturer specs and FMCSA regulations.

Requirements include 1 year of experience or trade school, HS Diploma or GED, ability to lift 70 lbs, and own tools. CDL may be required if driving on public roads; willingness to work nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience and/or trade school completion.
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment; own tools required.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repairs and diesel engine diagnostics.
• Strong reading/comprehension for manuals and safety rules.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare required safety documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals; replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment to meet specifications and regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance and support team as needed.
