Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking skilled technicians to maintain diesel engines, trucks and forklifts. You will inspect, troubleshoot and service equipment, following work orders and manuals to meet manufacturer specs and FMCSA safety requirements.

The role requires the ability to use tools, own your toolkit, and work with safety procedures. You must be 17+ and willing to work a varied schedule with attention to accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum of one year of experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including diesel engine diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare FMCSA and other required safety documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts or systems.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure performance meets specs and regulations.
