Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum one year experience or trade school completion.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Know general repairs and PM criteria.
• Experience with heavy truck repairs incl. diesel engine diagnostics.
• Able to keep up with changing technology.
• Mechanical interest in engines, electronics and precision equipment.
• Able to lift ~70 lbs and work in various positions.
• CDL and acceptable MVR required if driving; FMCSA Clearinghouse if CDL holder.
• Strong communication, self-starting, organized, problem solving.
• Willing to work nights/weekends and under time pressure.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare required safety documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and regulatory compliance.
